How to install the balusters with our lock connectors?
- Install the wood posts and use a level to ensure they are perfectly vertical.
- Position the base rail against the posts, and mark it for cutting.
- Cut the base rail along the marked lines, then cut the handrail to match the same angles and length.
- Align the wood base rail and handrail, and mark the positions for the balusters. For stair, ensure the spacing complies with building codes, maintaining a maximum center-to-center distance of 5.23 inches (133 mm) between balusters. For deck, the maximum center-to-center distance is 4.68 inches (119 mm). According the building code, the spacing between balusters can not be greater than 4 inches.
- Attach the lock connectors to both the handrail and base rail, then securely fasten the balusters.
