How to install the balusters with our lock connectors?

  1. Install the wood posts and use a level to ensure they are perfectly vertical.
  2. Position the base rail against the posts, and mark it for cutting.
  3. Cut the base rail along the marked lines, then cut the handrail to match the same angles and length.
  4. Align the wood base rail and handrail, and mark the positions for the balusters. For stair, ensure the spacing complies with building codes, maintaining a maximum center-to-center distance of 5.23 inches (133 mm) between balusters. For deck, the maximum center-to-center distance is 4.68 inches (119 mm). According the building code, the spacing between balusters can not be greater than 4 inches.
  5. Attach the lock connectors to both the handrail and base rail, then securely fasten the balusters.
